OK, here is another twist on getting money back after some losses. The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino gets pulled into a lawsuit by an attorney playing the compact angle. He says that because the money was lost under what he argues is a voided compact (the tribe points to Dept. of Interior approval in 2008) ….
The defendants actually are Clear Channel Outdoor, Bally Technologies, and Chipco, the chip manufacturers (this is greater than 180 degrees … i.e., pretty obtuse). I’m not naming the lawyer because it looks like he’s kind of in it for his own name (big surprise there).
Hey, you folks over in Tampa. Please get these lawyers something better to do.
And, as often is the case. The comments are the best part of this thing. No matter what you think about the Seminoles and gambling, I think they actually score some sympathy on this one, correct?
