Online Gambling WinUnited Affiliates Payments Restored
Affiliate marketing is a major component in internet business and it is necessary when it come to developing a client base in the online gambling industry. Unfortunately some gambling operators treat the affiliate marketers and webmasters with little respect and reneg on terms and agreements set forth in contracts. Sometimes these incidents have unfortunate endings and sometimes the affiliate has success and gets paid their commissions in full. Just last year sportsbook WINunited suspended its affiliate program and affiliate payments with the understanding that would do so only while it switched software platforms. In a surprise bold move though Winunited branded itself with anew name uwin.com and shut down its affiliate program completely leaving the affiliate contractors out of pocket. To the rescue came Sportingbet founder Mark Blandford who acquired uwin.com and installed a new management which rebranded the site once again to youwin.com. Working with the Gambling Affiliates Union, the new company has agreed to reinstate players, pay existing affiliates retroactively and continue as per their original agreements. Will Lytle, YouWin’s head of marketing is promising that all will be set right. Lytle, said, “The decision to close the program was both unfortunate and unnecessary,” He went on to comment, “However, we take full responsibility for these past decisions and are committed to rectifying the matter and re-build the trust with the affiliate community. Affiliates are and will remain an integral part of our growth strategy, and that starts with the integrity of the program and the individuals involved. With the considerable advancement of core internet technologies over the last few years and the rapidly evolving ways people interface with the internet and other technologies such as mobile devices, we see a solid opportunity to build a truly innovative sports betting brand that over-delivers on customer needs and the customer experience, and keeps us ahead of the competition,” In a reassuring tone the new marketing director added, “We have brought together the right team to help us meet these challenges, and as a business we are committed to remaining as agile and efficient as possible. We feel extremely optimistic.”
